Shanae Boone, Age 19 Pronouns: She/Her
Shanae is 19 years old and lives in Arnold, MO. She loves to write, listen to music and watch criminal shows. With 9 years of experience in care, Shanae became interested in advocacy work during her time in residential when she decided that she did not want to be forced to change her ways again. Through her work at FosterClub, she hopes to learn more as well as gain experience and perspective on issues impacting youth in care. Shanae graduated from Webster Groves High School and is earning a degree to become a therapist for youth in care. Shanae has served on her state’s YAB and is proud of making something positive out of her experience in foster care.
